Betting on underdogs in football
This system is popular and brings results. The player makes a profit when the favourite is defeated. And there are a number of reasons why this can happen. But it’s worth taking the time to understand what underdog betting is all about, and to understand how to proceed in general.
What is an underdog?
In sports, an underdog is an outsider with little chance of winning. Most often the odds on such an opponent will be over 3.0. But sometimes show even more than 5.0, it all depends on the particular sport.
It is important to note that a high odds is the result of assessing the strength ratio of the underdog and the favourite of the match. This is what the bookmaker says. But it is necessary to take into account the odds, that is, many players bet on a particular team.
Bets. What do you need to understand?
The outsider betting strategy requires a specific selection of markets. It is best in this case to focus on pure bets on the victory of the team. And it is better to consider the following options:
- Betting with handicaps. In this case a handicap must be selected, in which the betting range is 1.9 – 2.5.
- Double Outcome. Sometimes it’s too risky to bet on a clean win, so it’s worth mixing in a draw.
- TB. This kind of betting is suitable for any kind of sport. More often than not the analysts at the bank misjudge the underdog’s possibilities and the odds can be as high as 3.0.
- THE TM. Here the principle is to bet against the favourite. That is, you can bet on the underdog not conceding a certain number of goals. And the odds can also be quite good.
Match Analysis
It is important to play the game wisely and for this you should pay due attention to the analysis before the match. Find the right odds and pay attention to the individual principles.
- A series of victories by the favourites of the match. Of course, then the odds are higher for the underdog. But on the other hand the motivation of the team is also an important factor.
- A serious playing schedule of the stronger team. Many of the top teams often leave to play for their national teams. And after the training camps there are often some problems, it can be trivial fatigue and before a match with an outsider the coach decides to keep the player.
- Position in the standings. For example, someone in the qualifying group leads with a large lead and the match is no longer decisive. That is, the team will not play to its maximum. And it is best if the underdog takes on the opponents on home soil.
- the Achilles heel. Every strong team has a difficult opponent, a midfielder or even an outsider, who always performs insecurely.
- Additional factors. A lot is decided by home or away games, players’ injuries, weather and so on.
Betting system
There are some systems that can work, so you may get a good result.
- A weak team plays at home. You have to pick a few underdogs who are playing well at home. If this is the case, bet on a head start.
- Cup game. Often the favourites simply lose the game, betting against the underdogs with the second team.
- Safety net. Here you have to bet on an underdog win or a double outcome with odds between 4.0 and 7.0. And if at the end of the first half the favourite has failed to score or does not win, the bet on it goes up and it is worth a cross bet.
